Johan Ben Azzouz, reporter-photographe

Photographer for the daily newspaper La Voix du Nord, I have the chance to travel throughout the Hauts-de-France region, particularly along its coastline, covering the news and, above all, meeting people from all walks of life. I see press photography as a subtle blend of preparation, anticipation and chance. You can't plan for everything, but you can stack the odds in your favour and create opportunities. That's what I try to do every day, with varying degrees of success ! You'll find many tutorials on this blog, including the basics for taking better photographs.
New in August 2026: how I set up my camera on a daily basis, my DxO workflow, and how I photographed Napoleon during the solar eclipse.
